Care Circle: Share your care with the people who matter

This article describes Care Circle, and how to get started.

What's a Care Circle?

A diagnosis rarely affects just one person. Partners, adult children and close friends often want to help, but they're not always in the room when results come in or a treatment plan changes. Instead, they hear about it second-hand, or not at all.

A Care Circle is Blooclu's way of closing that gap.

You create the circle, choose who's in it, and decide exactly which appointments they can see. You stay in control of every piece of information that leaves your own record.

What they can (and can't) see

Being in your Care Circle doesn't give someone your whole record. They only ever see the specific appointments you choose to share, nothing you haven't shared, and nothing from anyone else's record. You can remove an appointment from a circle, or remove a person from the circle entirely, at any time. It's your record, and the circle only ever shows what you've decided to let it show.

How it works

  1. Create your Care Circle. Give it a name, something like "Mum's Care Team," so it's easy to recognise later.

  2. Invite people in. Open the circle's Invite menu to get a unique code or invite link. Share it with anyone signed up to Blooclu, and they'll join the circle.

  3. Share an appointment. While viewing any appointment, press Share and choose the circle. Everyone in it can now see that appointment.

You can add more people or more appointments at any time, and nothing is shared until you press Share.

Why it helps

Your support network stays in the loop, without needing to sit in on every appointment or wait for you to retell what the doctor said. A circle can hold as many people and appointments as you need, so the people who care about you can help carry it too.

A quick example

Say your daughter lives interstate and can't make it to your appointments. Add her to your Care Circle, share each appointment as it happens, and she can read the plain-language summary that evening. She stays informed, and you don't have to spend your energy relaying it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay for a Care Circle?

Yes. Creating a circle, inviting people and sharing appointments are all part of Blooclu Pro. But it's free to view the information in a Care Circle, so your support network won't need to pay.

Does the other person need the Blooclu app?

Yes, they'll need a free Blooclu account of their own before they can be added to a circle.

Can I see what they've viewed?

Not yet. For now, sharing an appointment simply makes it visible to the circle. There's no read receipt.
